The Small Business Awards Peterborough launched last year and was such a big success that they came back for their second year with extra award categories. Businesses were to be nominated by the general public who thought they were good enough to be recognised for the awards.
Those businesses that were nominated were then sent application forms to complete and return, the organisers of the Small Business Awards Peterborough then read through the nominations and applications forms to choose which of the 100 entrants took each of the 40 finalist spaces.
The team here at Elite Events were thrilled to find that they had made the shortlist, and are finalists for two awards.
We are up for The Peterborough New Small Business of the Year award, and have been recognised amongst other wonderful businesses such as Phoenix Studio and Entertainment, The Little Marketing Company, The Woodland & Rose Nursery and Setchfield VA Services which are a company we regularly network with.
We have also been recognised for The Peterborough Food & Hospitality Small Business of the Year award and are finalists alongside All About The Cakes, Crafting Curries, Resist Vegan Kitchen and Very Craftea.
We got the email just last week and are still dancing round the office with excitement. It feels great to be recognised for our hard work and we are so grateful to those that nominated us; whoever you are.
Now we just have to wait; we will meet the judges for an interview at the end of August / early September so we can tell them more about what we do. On the 17th August voting lines will open so we will be asking you all, very nicely, if you could please pop on the website or Facebook to vote for us, and we will be given a call by a mystery customer to check out our customer service.
Then in October we will go to the awards ceremony and celebrate with all the other amazing businesses that made it as finalists, and see which businesses and business owners win the awards.
